WIND POWER DEVELOPMENT

SANITARY ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES (AIDIS-USA)
AIDIS is co-sponsoring a meeting with the Committee on
Environmental Law of the Association of the Bar of the City of New
York, at which Mr. Bruce Bailey, President of the AWS Scientific
company of Albany, NY, will make a presentation on Wind Power
Development. AWS Scientific specializes in renewable energy
technology. Mr. Bailey is the Consultant to the Long Island Power
Authority (LIPA) for Long Islands Offshore Wind Energy Development
Project being planned in the ocean south of Long Island. He has
been involved in Wind Power for Europe, North America, Central
America and South America. In the U.S., he has worked on projects
in New York State, California, New Hampshire, and the Western
Adirondacks. Mr. Bailey will cover the technical, legal, and
economic aspects of Wind Power projects. There will be an
opportunity for attendees to ask questions. This should be of
great interest to engineers, scientists, and others who have an
interest in environmental issues, and the possibilities of
utilizing Wind Power to minimize environmental impacts in Latin
America.

and 6th Avenues).
