AIDIS-USA is pleased to invite you to a luncheon presentation at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) with special guest speaker, Janine Ferretti.  As Chief of the Environment Division in the Bank's
Sustainable Development Department, Mrs. Ferretti manages responsibilities related to the development and implementation of environmentally relevant IDB policies and strategies; providing
environmental quality assurance for the Bank's operations; and promoting best practices in environmental management in the Bank.

Ms. Ferretti joined the Bank in 2003 after she completed her term as Executive Director of the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC). Under her direction, the CEC
carried out initiatives related to trade and environment, biodiversity conservation, health and environment, enforcement of environmental law, public access to environmental information, and capacity building. Before joining the CEC, Ms. Ferretti was Executive Director of Pollution
Probe, a Canadian non-governmental organization.  She has also worked with the Environment Liaison Centre International in Nairobi, Kenya, and with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature
in Bonn, Germany.

She holds a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, Toronto, Canada, and a Bachelor in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
